To be sure you would need to have the TBC module scanned for codes. If it has one of the following codes then I would replace the pressure switch. C2797.

Check all the fuses associated with trailer, it's the most likely culprit. Mine had #1 and 24 blown. 1 was a jcase 30 amp type and 24 was a 15 amp mini. It will not start and sets the TBC ( Trailer Brake Control ) Light. Replaced the fuze because it was bad but the light still comes on. The truck will still not crank and Im beginning to think that its the injectors that are bad.
Ugh, sound like you have a short in one of the wires. That's going to be unpleasant to find. I'd start looking back under the bed and follow the wires from the rear lights back up to the cab.
